Club of Tomorrow moving to Telegram

We're moving Club of Tomorrow to Telegram and saying goodbye to our WhatsApp pilot. (In case you didn't know anything about it, don't worry, we were first testing things.)

WhatsApp has a flaw in privacy that expose everyone's phone numbers to the entire group.

‍

Recently we had an incident of third party individuals trying to get the contact information of some of our members through questionable ways... This rang the bell for us. The group was still small, but as we grow the risk of data leak increases. That's not okay. Your privacy matters, and we need to do better.

‍

Telegram fixes this. You can participate anonymously, share your thoughts and opinions without attaching your name to them if you don't want to. It creates space for more open, honest conversations. We also ran a survey in the pilot group to hear people's opinion in the matter after explaining the incident and majority voted for more privacy.

Plus, Telegram is just a better tool for what we're building. We're already setting up custom bots and integrating the group with our systems. Over the next few weeks, you'll start seeing new features drop that weren't possible before. We'll keep you posted as they roll out.
